Me Me Me - A glimpse into my wardrobe

When people ask what my style is I’m never quite sure how to answer. I don’t have a set way of dressing every day and like to experiment with outfits and have fun, “the world is our runway”.  I can tell you that my favourite colour is grey and I only wear pastel or neutral tones, I like floaty tops and dresses and anything soft, pretty and girly. If you were to walk into a Forever New store, that would pretty much sum up my taste and what I like to wear!

This is one of my favourite outfits for a casual day at home or a day out. The top is so different and can be worn with just about anything. I paired it with black leggings – a should be staple in anyone’s cupboard! The top is checked different shades of pink and green with a black floral detail over. I bought it at a shop called EQ. It’s an old faithful that I can wear for any occasion.

This look was a bit of an experiment, I matched a pink slouch knit with a high-waisted, tight black skirt and plain stockings. I saw this exact jersey in a magazine and fell in love with it; I searched ‘Meltz’ high and low until I found it and purchased it without thinking twice! I love that it can be worn in winter or summer. It is a dusky/dirty pink that matches just about anything. As for the high-waisted black skirt I bought it at Edgars and is a must for a night out on the town! I opted for plain stockings with this outfit but it could be paired with a pair of patterned ones for a more fun look. My new hobby is finding patterned stockings! This started when i got the polka dot ones (far right) from the UK. They really add a whole new dimension to outfits and change a simple black dress into something much more interesting!

Ah, my leather jacket! I was inspired by grunge chic with this one! I bought this leather jacket from Woolworths and it has proven to be an absolute key item for my winter wardrobe. It is a bomber jacket style with cool almost edgy details like the golden buttons. It also has a military sort of feel to it too! I paired it with a basic white tee (Hollister) and a grey snood to keep the winter chill away.

The shoes I’m wearing this winter … My combat boots which were a lucky find in a small little shoe shop run by a Chinese lady. They are really cool and add that edgy element to any outfit, once again I was inspired by the whole grunge chic trend and was determined to find a cool (not too in your face) pair for winter. They look great with a pair of chucky socks popping out the top! The second pair are my brogues, they are so cute and dainty and I found this pair at Ackermans, (can you actually believe it?), and they are one of the best pairs I have seen and liked! What is the best about both these pairs of shoes is that I can carry on wearing them in summer with a floral dress or floaty skirt!

I absolutely love my new slouchy beanie! My best friend and I purchased one each at a stall in a market and we were just too excited about them! Not only do they look so cool but they keep your head super warm! I love the look of casualosity it has, another fave for winter!

The last thing I am included is something I couldn’t resist to not show you! It is a grey leopard print top with cute ruffles on the shoulder and gorgeous beading on the neckline. I will admit to being a leopard lover, and how could I say no when it’s in my favourite colour: grey?! I have worn this top out to a club with leggings and boots and it just fits the night time look perfectly!  I bought this top in a little boutique and I feel really sexy and chic when I wear it.

These are just a few of my favourite things!
